Christmas 2006

We once again spent Christmas at the house. It was full of friends, family and food. We hosted Alana's mothers' group (GALS, Giving All Ladies Support) holiday party at the house the first weekend of December and after that it seemed like we were doing something every weekend.

Bill's company holiday party was held at the Four Seasons Biltmore and Tyler spent his first night with a babysitter other than Grandma and Grandpa. Fortunately, we were able to line up a sitter that Tyler knew from GALS. He was very excited when she showed up at the door, which was a relief, and we got a night to ourselves. It was bliss.

One of Tyler's little buddies had a birthday party right before Christmas and Tyler got to bounce around at the local kids gym at the party. Then he got to enjoy some green icing on the birthday cupcakes. Yum!

Christmas day was full of presents and food. Tyler made out like a bandit. Santa brought him an easel and a cool fold out couch with the characters from the Pixar movie Cars. There was definitely a Cars theme going on. I'd say about 85% of the gifts he received were related to Cars. Considering the word "car" was one of his first words we shouldn't be surprised.

Christmas dinner Bill took on the task of cooking his first prime rib. It turned out awesome and we got to share it not only with Alana's family, but with family friend, Joe, and his mother, Julianna. I don't think that will be last time it is cooked at our house.

This time he got it.

Tyler's hair grows so fast. He doesn't mind getting it cut as long as he gets some candy afterwards.

OK, now Mama is just bugging Tyler trying out her new camera she got for Christmas.

Dad, that's my tunnel! Get out of there! It belongs on the floor!
